Cornwall National Landscape

Cornwall National Landscape is the only protected area in the UK with 12 separate sections, spanning almost a third of Cornwall—an area larger than Dartmoor National Park. Their mission is to preserve and promote Cornwall's unique natural beauty while aligning with their 5-year management plan.

The Objective

The client aimed to migrate their website from WIX to WordPress. This shift was essential to gain greater control, enhance flexibility, and align the platform with the organisation's long-term management objectives.

Project details

To deliver a website that met the unique needs of Cornwall National Landscape, Tango3 undertook a detailed planning and development process. At the heart of this project was the challenge of creating a platform that could support the organisation’s ambitious goals while addressing their specific requirements for flexibility, consistency and scalability.

They offer collaborative discussions to explore detail and purpose, constructively challenge ideas, offer alternatives and all to ensure the best possible outcomes. Emma Brown
Partnership Manager - Cornwall National Landscape

We began by carefully analysing the diverse range of content and projects the organisation manages. The 12-section structure of Cornwall National Landscape’s designation was central to the design, requiring a template system that was not only visually appealing but also adaptable to showcase both large and small-scale projects. This approach ensured that every section of the landscape had equal prominence and usability within the website.

To provide a long-lasting solution, we implemented Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and custom WordPress blocks, which allowed the team to independently manage content with ease. The framework was built with scalability in mind, enabling seamless integration of new features and future enhancements as their needs evolved.

The collaborative approach we took with Cornwall National Landscape ensured that the site design and functionality aligned perfectly with their mission. By creating a digital platform that reflects their core values of preserving nature, supporting communities, and addressing climate challenges, the website now serves as a vital tool in promoting their work and engaging with their audience.
