Cornwall National Landscape Annual Report

Cornwall National Landscape spans 12 sections, covering nearly a third of Cornwall, and is one of the most distinctive and renowned protected landscapes in the UK. It represents a unique blend of natural and cultural heritage and aims to conserve and enhance its beauty while addressing contemporary challenges like climate change and nature recovery.

The Objective

The Cornwall National Landscape required an engaging, visually impactful and comprehensive annual report to be distributed to 22 plus partners and stakeholders. The report needed to showcase the year’s progress across numerous projects, reflect their rebranding efforts and align with the organisation’s strategic priorities.

Project details

Creating the Cornwall National Landscape Annual Report required careful attention to detail and a deep understanding of the organisation’s mission and audience. The project began with a thorough review of the extensive content, including updates on key projects, strategic priorities, and financial summaries.

“We are pleased with Tango3’s design work on our Annual Report.”
“Their attention to detail and innovative approach resulted in a beautifully designed document that was as functional as it was visually appealing. The ability to digitally navigate the report has made it much easier for our partners to engage with the content.”
James Richards
Communications and Marketing Assistant, Cornwall National Landscape

With over 30 pages to design and organise, the challenge was to present this wealth of information in a way that was both visually engaging and easy to navigate.

Each section was thoughtfully laid out with clear headings, bold visual elements and infographics to highlight achievements and progress. This approach ensured that readers could quickly locate the information they needed, whether they were policy-focused stakeholders or local community partners.

The report was designed with email distribution in mind, so image and file sizes were carefully optimized to ensure quick downloads without compromising quality. By incorporating the recently launched Cornwall National Landscape branding, we reinforced the organisation’s identity and ensured the report aligned with their broader communication strategy.

Our approach

How we meet these challenges with solutions:

Visually Cohesive Design

We used the newly launched Cornwall National Landscape branding elements, such as typography, color palette and imagery, to ensure the report reflected Cornwall National Landscape’s identity.

Content Organisation

Complex information was broken down into accessible sections with clear headings, infographics and tables. Key achievements were highlighted using bold visual elements.

Stakeholder-Centric Approach

We worked closely with the team to ensure the language and design resonated with their diverse audience, from policy-focused partners to local community groups.

Volume and Complexity of Content

With over 30 pages, the report had to encapsulate diverse activities, key achievements and strategic updates without overwhelming the reader.

Stakeholder Engagement

The design needed to appeal to a broad audience, including local partners, national organisations and the general public.

Brand Alignment

The report had to incorporate the newly launched Cornwall National Landscape branding for consistency and impact.

Results

The report successfully communicated key updates and achievements to over 22+ stakeholders and partners, fostering stronger collaboration.
