The Linking the Lizard Partnership needed a visual communication tool that could be used across the Cornwall National Landscape website, the Natural Lizard website, printed materials and partnership communications. The aim was to explain more than 50 projects delivered by six partners in a way that felt clear, engaging and accessible.

The project called for one communication piece that could carry a lot of information without becoming crowded. We worked with the partnership to shape the content, visual hierarchy and design language so the final infographic could tell a useful story at a glance, then reward closer reading with more detail.
“The infographic has been printed and used at the Lizard Wildlife Groundswell event (300 people in attendance)”
“and we are planning to have it printed as a large flag to have up at future events on the Lizard. It will also feature as planned on the Natural Lizard website”
The work started with the challenge of making a large partnership story feel simple without losing the value of the detail. The infographic needed to explain where work was happening, what had been achieved and why it mattered across the Lizard Peninsula.
We recommended a visual route that combined a custom map, illustrated environmental details and carefully edited statistics. This gave the partnership a structure that could hold information about habitat creation, species recovery, community projects, tree planting, heritage conservation, carbon sequestration and volunteer engagement in a way that felt connected rather than fragmented.
The final design was prepared for both digital and print use, with supporting image assets for web channels. It gave the partnership a practical piece of communication that could sit on a website, support printed materials and hold its own at a busy public event.
Key services delivered included infographic design, data visualisation, custom illustration, map design, print design, digital asset preparation, colour palette guidance and typography recommendations.
How we meet these challenges with solutions:
The infographic needed to represent environmental, community, climate and heritage work delivered across more than 50 projects and six partner organisations.
It had to work for event visitors, local communities, project partners and online readers, many of whom would be coming to the information with different levels of background knowledge.
The design needed to be strong enough for print and large-format event use, while also being easy to adapt into supporting image assets for websites and partnership communications.
We placed the Lizard Peninsula at the centre of the piece, using the map to anchor project locations and make the scale of the partnership’s work immediately understandable.
Bespoke illustrations and visual elements helped bring habitat creation, species recovery, tree planting, heritage conservation and community action into one coherent design.
Key statistics were grouped, weighted and presented with a simple visual hierarchy, helping readers move from the big picture to the specific impacts without feeling overloaded.
The finished infographic brought mapping, data visualisation and storytelling together in a single flexible asset that the partnership could use across print, web and events.
